UK International Soccer Camps This Summer

BYSC is hosting UK International Soccer Camps again this summer. We currently have two camps available:

July 21-25, at Ashwood Park (Follow this link to register)
August 11-15 at Upper Chinook School (Follow this link to register)

The camps are $$99 for half-day camps, and $139 for full-day camps. Please register soon, as these always fill up quickly.

E License Clinic Coming in July

We just got word that the State is allowing EYSA to host an E license clinic. This is a great level of license for most all youth coaches who have moved beyond, or are planning to move beyond U8.

Details are still sketchy but this is what we know:

Friday July 11th classroom session at the offices of Mercer Island Primary Care, 7707 SE 27th Mercer Island (next to Walgreens)
Saturday July 12th at the Lk Sammamish State Park Fields in Issaquah (across form IHOP)
Sunday 13th Meet back at Mercer Isl Care, then head for Lk Samm fields.

Registration information will be available at the Washington State Youth Soccer Association website.

EYSA "D" Coaching Clinic Registration

Here is the registration form for the upcoming 2008 D Clinic.

When can I take a D clinic?
An E license certificate is required before a coach can take the D Clinic.

The WSYSA Director of Coaching can waive the E license under one of the following circumstances�(a) 4 years of college playing experience; (b) 2 years of professional playing experience AND 2 years of coaching experience at the WSYL (Premier) Level or (c) certified classroom instructor and 2 years high school coaching experiences.

If you qualify for a waiver, please email the Director of WSYSA at wsysa@wsysa.com for a waiver certificate. The waiver must be attached to any EYSA Clinic Registration Form.

2008 Recreational Season

Online registration for the Fall 2008 recreational season will open April 21. Open registration through May 31, but some age groups may close prior to that date if they fill before then - so sign up early! Click on Registration in the menu to the left.

New for 2008 Season
We have added some team responsibilities to ensure that each game is a positive event. We are still working out the details - stay tuned.
Referee - Each team U8-U10 will need to have a referee available for each home game, appx 5 games.
Field Prep - 2-3 times a season each team will be responsible for prepping their home field - lining the field, setting up goals etc.

The Academy Program for boys and girls U11 and U12

Are you, your child and her/his teammates interested in a longer soccer season beyond what our Recreational soccer program provides? Are you frustrated by the void that currently exists between Recreational soccer and Select/Premier soccer? We have an answer: a new Academy program by the Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA) for U-11 and U-12 players who are interested in making a greater commitment to soccer than Recreational but less than Select or Premier. We're contacting you as we need some motivated coaches to help BYSC participate in this program.
